La vergonzante entrevista de ‘Los Manolos’ a Florentino, presidente del Real Madrid en 2009. La actitud y las maneras empleadas or los dos periodistas deportivos suscitaron reacciones airadas, incluso dentro de Prisa. Recordar que, durante la entrevista, el máximo representante del club merengue se vio obligado a interrumpir a los presentadores: “Solo habláis vosotros, me invitáis para hablar y solo habláis vosotros: me parece una grosería”. El tono general fue bastante hostil y agresivo con el invitado.

En Cuatro, se percibió la gravedad de lo sucedido de forma inmediata, al constatar la práctica unanimidad de las críticas a los periodistas que se iban colgando en el blog de la cadena. La avalancha de reproches ha sido tal que el canal ha suprimido de su web ese hilo de comentarios.

Los presentadores pidieron disculpas públicamente: “Si la gente que nos ve considera que nos pasamos, para eso estamos, para pedir perdón”, dijeron en el informativo del mediodía. Y añadieron: “Nos han llegado un taco de correos diciendo que no dejamos hablar, que somos unos maleducados, así que pedimos perdón. Nos habéis dado mucha caña”.

Pero la cosa no acaba aquí. Ahora, cuentan desde el Grupo Prisa, se van a pedir explicaciones a los “Manolos” a nivel interno. No se descarta una sanción y hay indignación en la compañía por lo sucedido. “Ese tono faltón y chulesco no es propio de esta casa”, se ha escuchado decir a personas cercanas al director general, Daniel Gavela.
